And for the less travel savvy, plan your trip with printed directions or GPS & don't forget to fill up the petrol tank.
Cooking at Home - If you plan to cook for your Mam, you need to ensure you have your recipe and meal plan picked, plus the grocery shopping around this recipe fulfilled, so no surprises on Sunday morning, with "Oops I thought I had that in the cupboard".
Home Fun - If you plan to stay at home, having the kids do some nice Mother's Day crafts can be a novel way to give your Mam a unique and sentimental gift on her big day.
Other General Items - Make sure the kids homework is all done, so you all can have a carefree day. Have your camera or phone charged to capture those special moments. If visiting, it's important to check in with relatives to make sure they will be there and don't have any alternative plans themselves.
